“Don’t rush reading it, live with it.”
Life…
It’s just like a vortex.
You get dragged in, forced to go through pain, big emotions, fear, and uncertainty. Most of us are too afraid to face this,
So we step into the dark…
A place where pale light shivers from the ceiling.A dark room where everything looks abandoned, filled with the worst versions of ourselves. A place where every part of yourself screams,
Survival…
Our minds often lead us to limit our own potential. We live in fear and false hope because this is all we know, and this is all we’ve been taught…
“In a world structured through darkness, it is difficult to see the light.”
So what do we do?
We lock ourselves out,
We forget our feelings,
We lose ourselves,
We cling to anything just for a moment of peace.
Running from everything that hurts, with the hope that the pain doesn’t come back to chase us…
“We seek happiness, a fulfield life, but we search it outside, instead of inside.”
And because we are shrouded in darkness, too big to be conquered…
We flee.
We give up and follow the rules,
Because it’s easier to repeat the same pattern rather than break it…
The other day, I was taking a walk.
It was a simple autumn day, a bit of rain on the ground with a chill in the air, but not too cold, with a bright sun in the sky. A sensation I like to call “middle ground”.
A quiet place; the leaves started to fall from the trees, just like the beginning of a rain.
It was beautiful to see the transformation of life, from living to death and decay.
In that moment, my eyes caught a leaf spiraling as it fell…
It was small, damaged, as if something had been thrown at it, with its own journey following the law of gravity and aiming for the ground...
And I thought:
“This is the essence of life!”
We are just like this leaf,
Falling...
Doomed to repeat every pattern, every pain, every lesson, most of the time.
Until we learn.
Until we understand the lesson.
And get out of the “falling spiral.”
“Life has a way of breaking you down, not to hurt you, but to sculpt another part in the marble block.”
And once the leaf hit the ground…
He admired the beautiful adventure he had.
Because it was not the end,
But the beginning of a new life...
This is who we are. We step into the darkness, not to lose ourselves, but to conquer our worst versions, and to be healed. It’s like a wake-up call…
“Too bad most of us chose to sleep, forgot to turn on the alarm clock.”
Choosing to close our hearts and live in the mind,
We prefer lies rather than the truth, which is like a bright light,
So…
We walk this earth, each step taking us deeper into the abyss, preferring to hide rather than face the truth of our own identity.
But,
“Fear is just a gate.”
“We don’t run to escape, but to avoid feeling.”
There are also people brave enough to stay in their darkness and, later on, transform it.
Those people walk mostly alone because no one was there when they needed help.
But they never chose to hide or lock themselves out. Opening themselves to others with a true heart. Even though, inside, they are in pain...
This way, you can see your own shadows more clearly and start making peace with them.
“We don’t have a map or a plan in this world, but we chose to make the most out of it.”
The only problem is that we follow the mind, which is shrouded in fear or anxiety…
Often, we are led on roads we shouldn’t have entered.
I learned that the only true guide on this journey is our hearts.
There is your true identity, your true self,
Your deeper desires and your “truth”…
Last time I asked:
“What is the role of a soldier without a war?
Of a veteran who returns home?”
(From my last text)

And I found out the answer after long days:
“He puts his armor down, and starts loving, ‘Cause all he knew was pain and suffering…”
When was the last time you let yourself feel?
“Often the void we avoid is just a bridge to a new reality.”
Thank you for your read.
Later, after I finish writing, I start editing.
And I saw so much complexity, yet it is so simple,
A story, but a reality at the same time.
And I didn’t even plan to do it like this…
It just flows.
